Same morning, two ways to run buses

Route 17, with its real stops. Both sides get exactly the same passengers and traffic jams. On the left, drivers chase a fixed timetable and rush when late. On the right, they keep an even gap instead: short waits at some stops, and nobody is ever told to speed up.

This is a model, not live data. Traffic, passengers and driver behaviour are simulated and set to match public figures: a 10-minute planned interval, and rush-hour traffic the approved timetable doesn't allow for. Results over 30 simulated mornings, and how much they depend on these assumptions, are in the project's report.
